The Saje Om Diffuser and diffuser blends bring the spa experience to my home office

Saje Aroma Om Diffuser ($92)

I firmly believe that if you are required to spend the bulk of your time in one space, that space should be as warm, comfortable, and inviting as possible. This is precisely why my home office, where I spend many hours of my day, is designed to make me happy. A few things you'd see if you were to enter the room: pens and pencils in pretty containers, my son's artwork on the wall, and a cozy reading chair by the window.

But the first thing you'd most likely notice is the room's spa-like scent, made possible by my Saje Om Diffuser. It was gifted to me last year and has since become one of my favorite products.

The award-winning Saje Om Diffuser, which costs $92, comes in two colors: white or stone, and is simple to operate. Remove the ceramic cover and water tank cover. Fill the water tank with room temperature tap water. Add 10-15 drops of your favorite Saje diffuser blend or essential oil. Replace both the water tank cover and ceramic cover. Ensure the item is plugged in. Press the on/off button and select the appropriate setting:

The diffuser also has a second button, which enables it to be used as a night light. The item is compact enough to sit on top of a bookshelf, and is nearly silent, making it a perfect fit for my office.

Diffuser Blend Collection ($65)

The Saje website sells more than two dozen diffuser blends. One of the easiest ways to find the right blend for you is by using the "Good For" function at the top of the page; just pick what you want to get out of the blend and it will offer up suggestions. Options include:

I own 12 bottles of diffuser blends, 3 of which are my favorite: Deep Breath, Liquid Sunshine, and Fortified Breeze. That said, I actually use all of them, rotating through the scents depending on my mood. Most of the blends are offered in two sizes: 0.34 fluid ounce or 1 fluid ounce and range in price from $16-$48.

If you're not interested in a blend, but would rather fill your space with a single scent — say, something earthy or floral or woodsy — Saje also offers single-note essential oils. They come in scents like Lime, Balsam Fir, Peppermint, and Lavender, to name a few. I haven't used any of these yet, but I have my eye on a few and look forward to trying them out. The single-note essential oils do vary wildly in price, from $10 to $100, though most are available for $20 per bottle.

The Diffuser itself is very easy to clean. Simply unplug the unit, remove the cover, and empty the water tank. Add a few drops of rubbing alcohol to the inside of the tank and wipe down with a soft cloth. Then add a couple of drops of rubbing alcohol onto a cotton swab and gently wipe the ceramic disc at the bottom of the tank.

If you'd prefer not to use rubbing alcohol, Saje also sells a Diffuser Care Cleaning Kit, which comes with a small bottle of Multi-Clean all-purpose cleaner and a cotton cleaning cloth.

I've loved having the Om Diffuser in my home office. It has helped to make the space so enjoyable to be in, and I've had fun trying out the various scents. My next goal: adding the Om Diffuser to other rooms in my house. I mean, my office shouldn't be the only space that gets some spa-like love.
